About me

Who am I?

I am a seventeen year old teenager from Poland who has a knack for writing, reading, listening to good music and especially playing the guitar.

Well, how did I get here?

Through the generosity of the US Department of State, and the Future Leaders Exchange Program, I was given the unique opportunity to venture out of Europe for a 9-month stay in Texas. FLEX is a cultural exchange program, the main goal of which is to gain a deeper understanding of the American culture and to present your own culture to Americans.

I flew to Washington DC from Frankfurt, from which I first got to by flying in from Warsaw. The entire travel took me approximately 13/14 hours, but there were some other Polish Flexers who traveled for even longer. I consider myself lucky in that regard, because my flight to Houston, Texas only took me 2.5 hours and I didn't have any transfers.

My placement organization

My placement organization is Greenheart Exchange. It is based in Chicago, Illinois but it operates all over the united states. I have a local coordinator from the said organization, who organizes various events for me and other exchange students who - like me - were also placed in Greenheart.
